I have been a little paranoid the last couple days ever since receiving the cease and desist notice on a post I put up that included a small article. The article was so small that I thought the author would have no problem with my posting it. I decided to give it a try to see what would happen. As I stated previously, the response was swift and very to the point – take my article down. It went on to state that I was free to run a small intro to the article which I declined to do.
I have been running introductions to long articles that I have sited on this blog since the beginning, and will continue to do so. In my opinion the abundance of spam on the blogosphere has released a paranoia that has affected many bloggers and so called web experts. I am making a public plea that civility and courtesy be restored.
I ran across a post where the issue of “errors and omission insurance” was raised by a person who works on the internet in the area of blogging. This idea is not too far fetched and it is a frightening thought for someone like myself who spent years working in the brick and mortar world of business.
